These tunnels are natural and not man made..on what basis SLTDA says , these tunnel are man made..no historian has said anything like that.

Kalutara has no historical evidences of Ravana’s palace and SLTDA shows Kalutara Temple to imitate that the temple was built on the Ravana’s palace.

Maha Ravana goda

Maha = Big
Ravana = a creeper growing in beach sides..Villagers keep dried Ravana plant in their roves to block  rats' movements
Goda = heap

Maha ravana goda = Big heap of Ravana plants

Kondakalai - Hindu Temple was built with influx of Tamil plantation workers to Hill Country in 1800s.SLTDA shows this temple as it is belong to Ramayana trail.

SLTDA shows Kirinda Temple and harbor and trying to relate it to Ravana story.
